Job Readiness

My name is Albane' Marshall and I attend Arts Impact Middle School. I am an eighth grader and I am 14 years old. I maintain a 3.8-4.0 G.P.A. I am a really nice person if you get to know me and I usually make a good first impression. I like talking to people and helping people out. I want to become a pediatrician when I am older and I want to succeed in life by being responsible and being a good citizen.

Before I started CSTC Columbus I knew about an average amount on computers. I knew how to work Microsoft Office software and delete software from the computer. I knew how to download software and I knew how to work a keyboard. Software is programs that are on a computer and hardware is types of futures on the outside of a computer. So I knew enough about computers to help me work with one.

Now that I have had the advantage of going through this program I have learned a lot. I learned even little things that I never noticed before. I learned that every website must have http:// at the beginning and I didn't even pay attention to that fact about computers. I've learned that you are using RAM when you are saving documents on the computer. I also learned that a computer has to have a TCP/IP which is Transmission Control Protocol or Internet Protocol to network with other computers. That is how people email each other and chat on the computer. Now I am more enhanced about computers and I will probably use this information to help others. My short term goal is to do a good job at my intern job and have the people I work with proud of me.

My main goals are to finish school, go to college, and graduate to become a pediatrician. My goal is to have successful career and be proud of myself. I hope that my friends and family will be proud of me too. My goal will be to take care of my patients to the best of my ability. If I ever have a family my goal will be to help them achieve their goals and let them be proud of themselves when they look back at their life.

Computers were just a place for me to do homework and to look at my Myspace but now I have more to do on them. If my computer is broke down or acting funny I probably will have an idea of what to do for it. CSTC has helped me learn a lot about computers. I hope that this program will help me reach my goals in life. I never thought that computer learning would help me have all these advantages to my future but it has and I hope it will continue to help me.

My blog about my internship

I expect that my internship this summer will be fun and a good learning experience. I hope that I can express my knowledge at my job and learn new things there. I will be looking forward to working with new people and learning about their jobs and how their childhood experiences made them want to be who they are today. I do still hope to work in the medical internships because that's what field I want to work in when I get older. I will be glad to get any job though because any job will be a good experience for me.
